Hi
What is the count Relationship between the number of magnet poles on the rotor to the number of electrical coils.

Say I have a rotor and a stator factory fitted in my engine and my stator has total 6 coils. One is for ac ignition 5 are for lightening.

Doea installing an 11 pole stator requires to change the rotor as well? Or we can use existing rotor?

I have found that the two flywheels actually have the pickup "lump" in different spots on the flywheel. So a 6 pole won't work with an 11 pole flywheel. Always use the correct flywheel for the stator you use. I have seen yx140 with a stock China 50cc to 138cc stator/flywheel installed, instead of the normal 140 stator/ flywheel. But all comes down to the balancing on the clutch side of the crank.
