replacing cdi

hi all, i have an atomik avenger 125cc.i replaced my cdi a while ago and i found another cdi looking thing next to it attached to the frame.its a meatal box with leads attached.anyone know wat it is???cheers

mayb rectifier??? if the leads go onto the spark plug then its the coil

hi, its not the coil thats closer to the front of the bike.and what does a rectifier do??

Its voltage control for the charging system

it turns AC voltage from your stator to DC voltage to charge a battry or run a powersystem for lights and such
