Splutter noise when i rev it hard?

Hi the other day when i was riding my bike for the first time (the bike isn't new) i reved it as high as i could and there was no power at all. It made like a sputter noise?
Would it be the carby?

Any suggestion?

Ok all bikes does this if its not warm.

But if it is warm heres what you should do.

Start with the most simple taskes and then if all else fails tackle some harder ones, as there is no point wasteing money on jets and other things.
Generally when you have a bike sitting there for a while the jets gets clogged up with all sorts of resedew and dirt. Thats why its a good idea to drain the float bowl when you know your not going to ride it for a while.

Your to do list

-New fuel

-Clean carb
Use compressed air to clean the bottom of the bowl and the main and idle jet.

-Do valve clearences
How to do Valve clearences

Then if all fails try tuning the carb
