hey guys ive got an Atomik Nitrous 140cc bigbore with 32 to 45mm exhaust, quick twist throttle, pro taper handle bars and uni air filter as well as a high rev cdi and now i want to change the sprockets on to achieve a higher top speed. it is really quick off the mark and i want to get it a bit faster in the top range. it currently has a 16 tooth sprocket on the front and a 42 tooth sprocket on the back. it is a start in any gear and what are my options thanx guys.

- Smaller front sprocket means more grunt down low but slower top speed
- Larger back sprocket is same as above.

- Larger front sprocket means less grunt but a higher top speed
- Smaller rear sprocket is as above

do one of them

bigger front sprocket= higher top speed, loose bottom end
smaller rear sprocket= higher top speed, loose bottom end
smaller front sprocket= bottem end power, lower top speed
bigger rear sprocket= bottem end power, lower top speed

just find yourself a nice combination, on my crf50 I run 14 front and 36 rear, or 15 front and 39 rear. both are pretty much the same.

how low should i go on the back to have fairly good take off with more top speed as i ride on straight tracks and roads as well.
