i have a 125cc lifan
it runs fin in neutral but put it in gear and it just stalls
is this a cdi problem
it rolls fine in gear so i know the gear box isnt seized
it just gets no spark when i put it in gear
does anyone know the problem with it??
thanks rosie

pull the clutch in.
adjust the clutch.
try putting the kickstand up.

Does it roll when its in gear and the clutch in, should be harder to roll.

ive cut the kickstart mount of so thats out haha
it rolls in gear and in gear with clutch in
its not a mechanical problem its an electric
cause in neutral my mate kicks it over i hold spark plug cover get zapped
then when its in gear (with chain of) and mate kicks it i dont get zapped

um, wheres the pale green wire from the neutral switch wired up to? sounds like you have an important earth wire for the cdi attached to it, so it starts in neutral, and when you change gear, it loses earth, there goes mr sparkie, out the window...

nuetral switch, the lil black doodad above the sprocket, sometimes has a few wires coming from it...none of them should be attached to anything...

if i put an irk on will this get rid of the problem
i have one sitting in my toolbox just havent got around to installing it:)

if you got the irk there, it wont hurt to use it, though theres a lot of arguments against them...

less wiring too....

green is earth, other green is to the coil, yellow to the coil, red is to the wire from the main"horseshoe" coil, and white is the lil baby pickup coil. and killswitch is wired to the red wire, just shorts out the power when the switch is closed:)
