well i finnaly painted the the Star * on my bike

tell me what you think

red was b4

it dosent look as good as it was.... i painted silver first, then black, than silver again and once more black but only a light spray so u can see both black and silver...(trying something different)

edit: new pictures added!!! cleaned it up abit, just need to put clear over it!

meh, ill go all black and clean up the star part so its polished again

for the time being i couldnt be bothered

is it possible to paint it red over the heat treated paint?

umm not quit sure just give it a light sand very light though
 
I reckon that looks shitloads better. I hate the red colouring on mine.

go black a few coats and then sand lightly (just Black) it would look better
 
would look cool either way really..personal preference..if you like it keep it..at the end of the day its your bike and you have to ride it...and if you think its rad thats all that matters..

and if anyone doesnt like it...really...they can eat it..

thats my 2.5 cents worth..
 
Cool, now it matches with the MOTOR! But it looked ok before when it was red.

What is the star bit made out of? plastic or metal? Does it heat up much?? ok thanks.
 
Crazz, not bad at all!!! If you dont like it too much, all it may really need is a little adjustment to the color but that compared to the previous red, I'd say you're on the right track. I'd probably go for a shade of gray than silver or black.

Mad man: From what we have around here, the whole thing is machined from billet aluminum so the star is actually part of the one-piece cam gear cover.
