Starting the bike up again!

hello, my bike has not been used for exactly a year now, and i didnt even drain the petrol, is there a certain way to start the bike again?

yea pull the choke turn the ignition to on and hit the kick starter with ya foot LOL

Drain all old fuel

Pull carb out and give it a thorough clean - soak jets in new fuel and blow out with compressed air

Check operation of float in carb

Replace carb and clean air filter

Replace engine oil and install new spark plug

Kick that mother over and amaze yourself with your own technical expertise!

I did the same thing with my bike, a mate told me to drain the carbie then put about a cap full of metho in the fuel tank and turn the full tap back on till the carbie bowl fills and give it a go.
I started first kick for me, might be worth a try?
