Thumpstar 110

Hey all
just been speaking to a mate who has a original thumpstar 110 i am not sure if there made in china but my question is pretty relitive.
He let the bike sit for a while and now he is having all sorts of carb problems. He has had enough and is purchasing a new carbie. I have suggested a oko 24mm but he wants to stik with the mikuni 26mm arent the 26mm to big for a 110. Just looking for opinions before he goes throwing down his hard earned cash.

24mm oko all the way. I imagine the 26mm mikuni would be way to big for a 110. Theres hundreds posts on this around if you search for it,
