hey

Well I was monoing my 50 today and I slipped off the back

When I picked up my bike the bars were outa line with the wheel

I have the pro taper tripple clamp and from
what I could see the gold part of my stock forks where twisted.

And what I want to know is it safe to try and straighten them or change the internals

I have fixed it a little.

Thanks

Nuh when I look down the forks I can see that one leg sits a little bit forward

so the whole fork sits forward or just the leg???

you might have bent the tripple clamps if the whole fork is forward

or else you have bent a lower leg

or it has just twisted in the tripple clamps and unaligned the wheels.

how can I straiten them if it's with the tripple

Also anyone know what the bolts need to be touqed to

if you have bent the tripple clamps i would just buy a new set.

but if they are just twisted loosen the bolts and spin the tubes around and move the wheel to where it it straight and do back up.

what do ya mean when ya say twist it.

Ok I looked at it proply today

The clamp don't line up with the guard and neither bars or guard line up with the wheel. I'll try get pics

undo the bolts that tighten the triple clamps around the Forks legs! then stand in front of the bike stick the front wheel in between your two legs and twist the handle bars till it all lines up then tighten all the triple clamp bolts back up!!!!!!! done.

a set of my forks do the same thing non stop .... doesnt bother me i dont even notice when im riding.
