uploading vids

hey yall. i got some vids off my helmet cam. but like a one minute clip is like 80meg. does anyone know how to reduce the size? they were recorded 848x480pixels if that means anything. i have windows 7, can i do it on here? can I download something like irfanview?

I am a major newbie to this kind of technology.

any help appreciated. thanks in advance.

encode them in divx or another compressed video format, alternativly if you upload them to something like youtube you dont have to worry about reducing the size.
