What sprocket combo to run

I have a Atomik nitrous 140 (yx140). I went out for a ride today in the wet (great fun until having to clean when we got home)with my son and brother. My brother is riding a Lifan 125 (now running much better with the valves adjusted to .003, .004 not .3, .4) and he was able to stay in second gear through corners where I was having to drop back to first. Could anyone recommend a sprocket combo that will work better than what comes standard? Thanks

is it a small tight track or long and open?

that's weird stock gearing is really short there should be nothing but th most insane hillclimbs making you have to dop back to1st,... 1st should be pretty much unuseable....
what you really need is an oko carby

Yeah I agree with Rip. There must be some other problem here unless you have the 14" rear. The YX should destroy the lifan in pretty much all circumstances. Count how many teeth you have at the moment and post it up.
