Whats oil for my lifan 140cc engine?

also after 1 min running the exhaust is extremely hot , sorry for newb question but is this normal . Also i have an Errattic Idle

about 800ml of plain old oil. alright. plain NEW oil.

can be single grade 30W for "stationary engines", can be multigrade, 30w or so, synthetic is just being silly...


it is better to use motorcycle oil as its a bit better for the wet clutches and combined gearbox but the difference is trivial on what are pretty basic engines.

Any mineral diesel engine oil will do also. Mineral, because it makes the clutch rubner dampeners last longer. And cheap disel engine oil has rarely got any friction modifiers in it, that cause problems with wet clutches.

I use honda gn4 in the black bottle, 30w. Its at every honda dealer and is usually under $10 a bottle
