Hi guys.. i had a little search on the forum to find thread about
where to buy... but could't find any...
So i thought i'd ask...
I live in perth... so that would be better to find some here..
but i dont mind if a have to buy from somewhere else in
australia...
i found some tyres on ebay they are 12" a set on the kenda one's
going for around $80.. found some rims on there too.. but i would like a
few more options... and wasnt sure they would fit..
also is there many things to take into consideration when buying rims,
like axle size and things like that....
Thanks....

My bike is a chinese XTM 200cc pitbike..
and i dont know to much about it as i just got it..
So if anyone know's what motard rims and tyres will fit
or if anyone is selling a set that will fit.. Please let me know.

^^ I have a set of these rims now. They seem to be pretty good quality.

^^ They are awesome tyres, I had them on my mso and they were sticky from lap 1. Would definitely recommend them.

ROFL... Running 12's could look and behave a little funny on this...

It's a 200cc upright motored 3/4 framed 14/17" POS.

Buy a horizontal engined CRF/KLX framed pit bike running 12/14" wheels with no bigger than a 160cc engine and then you can run 12's and mini-motard away...

Otherwise you could try to get hold of some full size 17" motard rims etc but you'll be looking at $1000+ for shitty second hand gear and likely will have a b!tch of a time getting them mounted up (if it's possible at all).

I take it you haven't actually read much of the motard section or you'd know all of this...

To quote Rick: "What did the hand say to the face? SLAP!"

PS, you know you're really onto a winner when the place wants to charge $100 for carbon look plastics!

I'm just offering him an easy option seeing as he appears to have bought a $1,700 POS already... The DHZ motard would make a reasonable starter at least.

If he's gonna go second hand he may as well go straight for a 160 ;)

He didn't pay $1800 for it though. And yeah, for 1400 you could get a 160 pit bike, put some motard tyres and rims and get a oko.

cheers guys for all the help...
sorry forgot to mention.. that bike is very similar to the one
in that pic...
but mines a 2006 model and came with a 14" front and a 12" rear...
i got the bike secondhand for not much at all...
so saying that 12" motard rims and tyres should still ok..?
Cheers TYD for the links... i can get into them on the comp @ work..
i will check them out when i get home...
cheers again... keep the info coming

Get some pics up man... If it's different enough and you just want to get out there and have some fun it could be a goer ;)

You need to run a 160cc (or smaller) horizontal engine to compete.

The problem with small wheels on a tall bike is the increased ease of turn in... It'll feel like it wants to throw you into the ground on every corner.

As far as I'm aware it's near impossible to get a decent 14" tyre and if you are running a 12/14 setup already you prob won't fit 17's... Still, get those pics up and we'll suggest away! :D

hey guys.. cheers for the help
I found a pit bike shop in Perth that sell the michelin pilot tyre in a 14" and a 12"
he seems to think they will fit straight onto normal pitbike rims... he charges around
$70 - $80 fper tyre.
i read on here somewhere that ya dont want 14" on the front cos its harder to turn
in and stuff... does anyone know how much harder it is...
I wont be racing the bike.. riding it for fun in carparks and sometimes on a gokart track..

This is a picture of the bike...
14" front & 12" rear...

No one can seem to find a 14" motard tyre to fit..
so they keep telling me to get a 12" rim of ebay and then they can fit some tyres
on it...
but how do i know which is the right front rim for my bike, i know the axle size is 15mm
but what about the hub and anything else...
anyway if anyone can help please let me know.. thanks

hey guys i found some motard tyres to fit a 14 " rim..
and the 12 " tyres are easy to come by..
anyway if anyone had a pitty that runs 14" fronts and they want
tyres... Pm me..

12" rim 2.15 wide with 15mm axle. They are everywhere and is what everyone is running.
A 14" on the front will make the bike almost impossible to turn onto the corner with any speed.
To have the bike turn in correctly and be alanced through the corner a 12" on the front is a must and even go the extreme of sliding the triple clamps down the fork legs to decrease the amount of fork angle, helping the bike turn in more with more front end grip.

Cheers.. but i have got limited space between the forks... i think a 90/90/12
tyre may only just fit, but im having trouble finding rims to fit my bike as i have
on there now is a 1.40 x 14 and the 4 bolt hubs are different the rims that are all over the net
which are 2.15 x 12 rims
so thats why i gotta stay with 14" front
