Which magento pack, 2 pole or 6 pole??

My Lifan 125cc kick start only motor has a 6 pole magneto in it, but a search on ebay looks like it should have a 2 pole magneto. Looks like the 6 pole magneto is for the 140 / 150cc motor.
My question is, which is better for a 125cc motor? Is one better than the other.?
