Which Race Cam??

hey guys what is the best race cam to get for a
lifan 140cc big bore? and how much hp will it
give out?

and also will port and polish give me any hp boost?

The 140 cam has a 6mm lift. Which is better than stock cams in the past. I'll figure the duration tomorrow. This is one of the improvements that the genuine new Lifan 140 has over the other 140's which are simply 138's fitted with a bigger piston.

what the...

all you need to be aware of, is that there are two types of 140 out there. One that is the new stroker and the rest that are not. The new stroker has a few subtle changes that make it a much better motor and one big change that make it absolutely better. The two motors take totally different cams too so beware.

Edit- They also take totally different pistons...

Heres a couple of pics...the piston from this motor is sitting beside an akunar 55.5mm.

Mack, its hard to tell if the piston pin to deck height is the same with that pic. Is it??

Also, does it look like the valve reliefs in the Akunar piston will have to be enlarged towards the outer edge of the piston like you have do to if you fit a 54mm from them??

I posted that pic to show the overall size difference in the new pistons.

The pin to deck on the factory pistons is 14.6mm and the gudgeon is a 15mm. By going up in pin size this makes Akunar's 15mm pin piston range usable. The range they stock start with a 13mm pin to deck height so you have some room to play around with.
