Wiring up ducar 125 for rec reg

Hi all, I have a ducar 125 which is only kick start and was wondering if anyone had wired one of these up for rec reg yet, and if they went to the trouble of wiring into the engine for power or just put a battery in and pretended. Any advice would be much appreciated.

yellow and white wire from engine. then 12volt regulator. then youre set. theres a thread somwhere...several actually

well soon as the thread is here and the search button wasn't working i was wondering if there was any wires that i should be able to see in or near the fly wheel in a lifan 125cc. i tried to put images on photo bucket bit it didnt work so im going to try and upload an image tomoz. thanks
