silver is free .. silver is good you can play online but you cant play ranked games. and making friends without ranked gameplay is hard but you get a free 3 month gold subscription with every Xbox 360 purchase or it would prob be the games you get so you have no problem there. gold version is Well ur open to all games and you can download game demos and what not.
