Hi all, I'm new to this forum, and seen a lot of helpful info..
My problem is I'm installing another engine in my 140cc big wheel, Now I installed it hooked it all up, added oil, and kicked it over.. I had a bit of oil dripping out every second or so and a real loud tapping sound.
I pulled the head off replaced the valves, and did the distance measurement (0.04 and 0.06) did the timing, put it back together, noticed there was a bolt missing near the gear lever ( it's a little bolt that screws into the side that leads to the cam chain tensioner) that was leaking oil, took the bolt from my old motor and put it in, filled with oil, kicked it again and still it taps like crazy!!!

You have excessive valve lash, valves should be set at .003"-.08mm inlet and .004"-.10mm exhaust, hope this sorts your noise, they also tend to be a bit noisier with fresh oil. :D
