Hey guys,

I'm keen on building a road registrable Z50, just wondering what models can be registered for the road?

Cheers,
Jordy :)

Bikes that can be registered, don't have compliance plates:
CZ100 1962 -1966
Z50M 1966-1969?
Z50A 1969-1974ish

Models that came out with comp plates:
Z50J1 1975-1978ish
Z50JZ 1978-early 1982
COMPLIANCED 40th anniversary (limited edition)

models that cannot be registered:
Z50R models
CRF models
Uncomplianced 40th anniversary

Thanks bud, now i need to find out the good and bad parts for these badass bikes! Haha

i copy'd pasted that up from anther forum
heard storys of people haveing bit of trouble get'n z50a redgo as they don't have adr compliance plates as they built pre 1976 before they hate to have them

I have z50j1 76 model redgo'd & my brother has z50jz 80model redgo aswell.

They heaps of fun riden around town! :)

Z50JZ's are easiler to get parts for and generally cheaper for OEM parts as some of the J1 parts are difficult to find and or rather expensive.

There are some frame differances which make life difficult if your doing a custom with a J1 as most aftermarket parts are designed around the JZ frames
