Well today i took the bike out spent the whole time trying different jets to tune it. After several different combinations all with the needle clip left on middle position iv settled on 36 pilot and 96 main with idle mixture screw 1/4 turn out. Seems to be the most responsive and clean reving...

Sounds like could be a door opening for mini racing in SA finally!! Rumour has it a few Mini Menace sponsors have chipped in some nice lil goodies for just entering and having a crack. Should be an awesome day.

I have considered putting the 38 back in to see what happens as i changed both the main from 100 to 98 and the pilot from 38 to 40 in one step.

Didn't come with a boot so i made my own using some soft silicon vacuum hose and tight zipties.

Ok i've fitted a 26mm Flatslide from DHZ to my stock lifan 150 and after some efforts at tuning its getting rather hot and back firing flames when decelerating. So im guessing lean but im running- K98 main (originally had K100 fitted but had no response at all and very boggy) K40...

My mixture screw seems to only be 1/2 turn out from seat as well. E Clip on position 1 below middle. If i turn the mixture out more it becomes duller in note and tends to hiccup through the carby a lil at idle. Would i be right in thinking the E clip needs to be in the middle and then the...

Iv managed to get it running pretty sweet after an hour or so. 2nd to bottom with E clip, mixture screw half a turn out. See how it goes cold starting tomorrow. Will do finer tuning via plug chops to see if the jetting is in need of changing once i can get out somewhere i can do top gear runs...

The adaptor seemed nice and flat as i noticed it looked as though it had been over a sanding block but will spray a lil WD40 round and see if there is a leak first thing tomorrow.
