Hi , new to the forums

My mini moto motorcross bike recently broke down , so i bought a new engine off of ebay for it. Everything appears to be fine other than i cannot seem to be able to screw the accelarator cable into the new carb, this is because it appears that the slide is too big for the hole in the carb , is this a possibility or are all slides the same size?
Sorry im a bit off and idiot when it comes to bikes.
Am i doing something wrong, it appears to be about 1 centimeter too big as part of the slide sticks out of the hole

are you putting the slide in the correct way?

are you using your original carby or the new carby but your slide and carb cap?

if its to wide you need a new slide but if its sticking out a centimeter there a notch on the bottom of the slide and and long line machined out so the carb pins line up, you'll see inside of the carb and youll know what i mean with the slide
