Is there such a thing as a good quality fuel tap available!

what style mount ?
there are taps that screw into the tank, onto the tank and remote ones too.

what is yours' doing ?
if it's tight, give it a spray with inox etc

If you were here you would know:flipa::flipa: haha
Mines leaking.

yeah,
if i was there my son wouldn't talk to me for a month or more, with him having to stay home sick.
but we had to put his health before riding, it was hard seeing him sick for 2 weeks.
he get's so crusty at night too when he's crook.

ok, i see they use the TTR style tap,
have you tried tightening the screws ?

2x up into the tank, and the 2x for the tap lever

i would think it'd be under warranty?

there are a couple of types, yours' has the reserve option ?
there is also a longer one too

these look cheap to me-
Yamaha TTR125 TTR 125 GAS Fuel Tank Switch Valve Pet**** 2000 2001 2002 03 04 05 | eBay
Fuel GAS Tank TAP Pet**** Valve Switch Pump FOR Yamaha TTR125 2000 2005 01 02 04 | eBay

this aftermarket one looks good-
Pet**** GAS Fuel Tank Valve Pet**** FOR Yamaha TTR90 TTR125 TTR225 TTR230 TTR250 | eBay

if you lean the bike over on it's side, you might be able to undo the 2x tap lever screws and take it apart,
dry the rubber off quick though, they can expand a bit.
it may just be binding up on the rubber seal on the inside of the lever.
spray it with inox, and refit it it might come good

I was just stirring. Totally understand about the little guy.

It leaks when in the on position, i'll let AllBikes know and maybe it will get replaced but if there is a better option that is less likely to fail I'd rather put that on.

yeah that's ok, i thought it sounded like one of stus' comment anyway.

half the ones on ebay listed for yamaha TTR's look like they're made in china anyway

this might fit ?
NEW Factory Fuel GAS Pet**** Valve 2002 2014 KLX110 Kawasaki B0032 | eBay

here is a tap rebuild kit, but they are as dear as a new tap
Kawasaki KLX110L KLX 110L 10 12 Fuel Pet**** Repair KIT Shutoff Valve | eBay

if yours' lloks like the TTR/KLX one, and has screws holding it together
try taking it apart and checking the seal.

i have fixed one tap that leaked, it needed pulling apart, lightly filing the face where the front plate screws onto and reassembling
it must have had a bit too much clearance there when it was made

Well Chops was sitting across the fire from us, and the sun had set at 5:23pm so we had been sitting there enjoying a few bevvies since about then...there may have been a bit of discussion before hand! We kinda figured it was something like that, and you couldn't come and leave CJ or he would be pretty grumpy, but wont be the last time I go up there and I'm happy to go up again whenever I can! Definitely need to bring some firewood up next time too...We used a fair pile...but no one got cold there is an awesome metal brasier up there which is pretty industrial!

The pitpro one broke and that is a screw into the tank type. I got the remaining thread out so no problems there!
