Hi, just quickly, what, if any is the advantage of an alluminium swingarm

Alloy looks better and won't rust ... plus it can be lighter than a steel one ...

The lighter the better yer? How does this help with performance
thanks

This wont really make the bike go faster it will just make it lighter. I dont think there will be a noticible difference.

with big bikes, the less unsprung weight you have the better your dampening performance will be. I am sure there would be some truth to this with minibikes, but because of the weight and size difference, it would be marginal I would have thought.

Lighter? Maybe... You have to remember that with the reduced strength of aluminium (pound vs. pound) as opposed to steel means that larger cross sections are required to achieve the same resistance.
This just all means that aluminium is not always lighter but usually is and they are usually about the same weight too.

there is no real performance increase u might find it easier to do endos or somthing but othere than that no performance changed
