Brake's Stuck Together

Hi,
When I was setting up the handlebars on my new pitpro bike I accidently squeezed the front brake lever without the wheel on and now the pads are stuck together and I can't get them apart. Can someone help urgently as I am not too knowledgeable with brakes.

put something like a strong metal spatula in between the 2 disc pads and gently pry them apart.
the side with the metal piston is the side which will move back in.
as they open up a little then find something wider to fit inbetween them.
you need to get them about 4mm or 5mm apart.

try not to use a screwdriver tip or something narrow, as it can dig into the fiction material of the disc pad and will damage them

Ok, Thanks very much. They are separated now. I had a long thin metal rod that was lying around which I used to separate them.

Wow that was quick, glad you got it sorted. lol try doing this with a cars brakes to fit new pads... it's difficult.

haha you would have to have a lot of strength to pull them apart.

that's what G Clamps are for.
