brooksy's POS rebuild

hi all things are slow to night so i might start a thread about
the build im doing for my little bro

well the bike started life as a atomic 125 POS that he got 2nd
hand for $100 i cleaned it up a bit and let him loose.

well no time flat he had killed it the motor was blowing
smoke from day one. i had told him to spend the money
and get new piston and rings but that was to hard

then one day she would not start had no comp at all
so i knew there and then it was tear down time
i pulled the barrel off to find the top ring had worn that much
the it had jumped out of the groove

long story short he got a 2nd motor and off he went again
this time he just rode the wheels off it and ran it in to the ground
and cond me to fix it for him

after i started bracing the frame

after the fabricator in me came out to play if ya notices the bit the the swing arm
blots through is missing it was stuffed so i got a thicker bit of pipe and bushed it
to the right size of the swing arm bolt so there is no play

here she is in paint

the paint is a blue hammer tone and looks sick

thats about it for now but watch this space

the blue looks sick with the alloy swing arm

this is how its sits now with just on a week before race day
the motor is a lifan 125 no mods at all not even a port job but i dropped a fresh
slug and rings in and a paper thin base gasket to bump up the comp a tad

not my choice of sticker kits but ya get that on the big jobs
and the seat is a bit of a home re-foam and cover but will do for now

and well the best part on the bike so far

have got a set of god usd forks on there way with alloy clamps
will have my old fastace shock in the ass
the only thing that is going to let the build down is the shitty looking rims
front is a faded green alloy and i think the back once was black

so if anyone has a set of black steel rims that they want to part with
for sweet F A let me know

Ha ha yeah that bike just got a hole lot sweeter! he he! yeah im surprised too those dhz stickers look good with that frame. but sounds like the rims r gonna let ya down he he. good luck getting some different ones!

the frame looks sweet blue with the plastics and the aloy swing arm and the fuel cap is madd i wish i had it lol
