What Torque should the clutch springs be done uo to on a Pitsterpro 155 Engine?

i dont know about the exact torque settings but do the 4 bolts up evenly until there hand tight then tighten a further 1/4 turn or so..
use the shortest spanner/socket you can so leverage isnt that great.. (lest chance of being heavy handed)

it would probly equate to around 15/20ft/lbs (but thts a guess)

I suppose this thread's a bit old but for anyone else wondering...

I've got a graph with general torque settings for different sized nuts and bolts.

for 8mm bolts it reccommends (10-16 N.m / 1.0-1.6 kg-m / 7.0-11.5 ft-lb)
10mm: (22.0-35.0 N.m / 2.2-3.5 kg-m / 16.0-25.5 ft-lbs)
12mm: (35.0-55.0 N.m / 3.5-5.5 kg-m / 25.5-40.0 ft/lbs)

hope that helps.

yeah unfortunately it doesn't quite work like that.
bolt length, grade and size as well as the material grade its screwing into is what determines the torque..

still good for general info tho..

It says this is for "conventional bolts, or bolts marked with a 4"

It may have come from a certain bike/piece of machinery but I'm not sure, sounds fair to me. Probably good values for those zinc plated bolts on engine casings and whatnot.

I put my Elstar 146cc back together after replacing a gear and the clutch was sliping, this info should really help, thanks.
