DRZ-70 problem.. Feels like clutch slipping??? PLZ HELP

Hi guys Newbie here.. First post long time browser!

Both my kids aged 7 and 9 have DRZ-70's they love them to bits. just recently one of the bikes have seemed like the clutch is slipping???
when I am on it I can really notice it compared to the other one. the bike did have a loose chain 2 weeks ago but that was adjusted but unsure if problem was happening before the chain was tightened?

anyone know what could be the problem? simple fix? or bike shop visit?

It sounds like the clutch plates are worn , these are quite cheap and easy to replace
While you have the clutch out I'd replace the clutch springs as well just for good measure , they don't wear as quick as the plates but for an extra few dollars you get peace of mind

Thanks for the quick reply.. was thinking along those lines but being its auto clutch i wasnt quite sure how it all worked.. so its a basic thing to do? Or worth paying $$ and getting a shop to do it?

I would try adjustoing the clutch to see if that help's any, it's very easy to do (see section 2-112 in manual above)

If you need them a new aftermarket set of clutch plates will cost aroubnd $22, EBC have a set they sell
