yeah,
the bigger late model 4 strokes all seem to need new top ends
they must be made to replace the worn parts more these days, not so much servicing/adjusting stuff.
and you don't hear of too many late models getting 20,000kms + before needing rebuilds, that's for sure.

i guess it keeps you going back to the dealer, spending more money, or trading in/updating every year !

only the 4 valves..
the wr 450's and 250's go for a bloody long time on a re-build
 
Well i bought my rm 125 1994 for 500 spent 450 on it and struggled to sell it for 1500
unless vmx racing or can only spend cash old bikes arnt really worth it unless its a xt or something that goes for miles before a problem again
