Headlight Capacitors?

Hey Guys,

I want to install a headlight on my PSTO that is running a z160ho. I have just bought a stator with light cables but rather than run a battery I would like to run a capacitor (or series of capacitors) to smooth out the brightness of the light.

Has anybody else gone down this path?
If so, what capacitor(s) did you use/recommend?

the minimum size you will need is a 10,000uf 40v, Jaycar sell them, for about $10

you will need a voltage regulator/rectifier too otherwise it'll just blow the bulbs

Just wondering, what would you say is the minimum voltage capacitor i could get away with?
I have found the following on ebay that is 35v and is cheap

the ones in the link above are better quality than the jaycar one.
the tabs where you will need to solder the wires too are a lot more heavy duty.

there are better ones again, a screw on type, but they cost around $35ea
