Interesting! iv been wondering about this... asked a while ago in the fuel thread, about adding moreys etc.. will start to do so if its worth doing! Am running a moreys bottle in the zuki.. wonder if a similar setup can be done to the pitty... hmmm..
Valve saver will work in any unleaded engine ! It not only slows down valve wear , but also slows down ring and upper bore wear as well ! The lead that used to be in fuel did a lot of things - it raised the octane of the fuel and coated everything - literally stopping wear cold in its tracks !
You can also run some two stroke oil or castor oil in your fuel in place of valve saver , it won't harm anything but will cut friction , wear and heat !
The absolute BEST to use would appear to be a tin catalyst canister such as a FUELSTAR in your fuel line but they are fairly expensive to buy ! They have tin ingots and wear plates in them that use engine vibrations to put fine tin particles into the fuel ! The tin particles coat everything with tin oxide when they burn - tin oxide stops carbon from sticking , lubricates the valve seats and upper bore and rings and also raises the octane of the fuel better than lead to minimise detonation .
