how do i remove kick starter and gear

hey i cant seem to get the kick starter or the gear leaver off its like stuck on there it moves like a milimeter then dont budge i have tried everythign just cant get it off is there a trick???
and is it worth investing in an hi power cdi or not worth thr 40 - 50 bux

mate your going to have to be a little more descriptive then that...

engine type and size?
bike and model?
problem with the kick starter?

also make sure you have searched the forum because chances are this has been covered and theres a write up or video on it..

did you take the bolts all the way out?

you can use a screw driver and slightly hammer it into the split groove to spread it a little but yeah like said above the bolts need to be fully removed...

On both gear shifter and kickstarter there are a small grooves where the end of the bolt sits in, you have to take the bolt totally out for the shifter or kickstarter to come off.

I did the same thing when i first took off my kick starter. haha
