hi guys

i bought a 1/4 turn aluminium throttle but it seems to turn the same amount as the throttle on my rx which is 90*
i mean from closed to WOT it rotates 90*

did i get ripped or is this what 1/4 turn throttles actually turn?

also how many degrees does a 1/8 turn throttle turn?

thanks!

yep, a 1/4 turn is the same as a 90* throttle, it goes from nothing to full in a quarter of a turn and 1/4 of a turn is 90*
1/8th turn as the name says, opens full in 1/8th of a turn, which is 45*

so no you wernt ripped off:)

wow this just saved me getting really pissed off! It all makes sense 90º is obviously 1/4 when you think about it... I was thinking it was 1/4 of a normal twist ha ha. So is the 1/8 really worth the go?

The 1/8th quick turn throttle is good for fast throttle action, especially on MX tracks, doing jumps, and powering into and out of berms etc, it open's your carby up to full throttle in an instant.
They're not as good to use on the trails, weaving in amongst trees and slower use though.

A lot of bikes now days come with a 1/4 turn throttle as standard.
