cheers

Thrashed.. dont buy one thats had P plates on it! lol.. look at alternatives.. Foresters go pretty hard with a few rexxie mods..

Australia's largest Subaru Forester community

Other option would be a Stegea.. same as skyline..but in a wagon..
Rb25 96 mdl.

yeah foolsp33d is right if its had p plates on it dont buy it they all just think they are race car drivers.
stageas are pretty awsome they have all the same stuff as a line but in a wagon an most of them are 4wd aswell an they look real sweet
what sort of supra you lookin at ?

shit loooking cars but still a great car!. Dont buy a skyline with a rb20... 2 litre straight six.... they go like shit. Personally I wouldnt drive anything under 2.5L The rb25/26 go great. The supras go even greater.

only the real old school lines have a two litre they are mostly 2.5

mate pm me if you want genuine info i have owned a few and had mates owning numerous lines''... just git me up with what you wanna know and i will help you best i can... ;)

and ps.. that stagea has r34 front end convo they com like that normally... like i said pm. i can aslo supply plenty of parts :D

Hahaha LMAO @ Ricers.

If you dealing with an importer just make sure you check them out and they are reputable because I have seen some dodgy import dealers. Personally I like the Supra and the turbo aero top would be my choice coz im not a fan of the skyline. They go great but as you said Ricers lol

What did you want to know about Skylines? Which model were you interested in R31/32/33/34/35? NA or Turbo?

hey mate just deciding on a supra or skyline gtr33 the r34's are a bit to exspensive, apparently supras handle like shit though? so i mean i dont know its tough decision its mainly going to be a weekend car and im not going to be putting out crazy horse power....

cheers

Have you got a licence? Best thing would be to take the two for a test drive. The 2JZ and RB26 are two of the best 6 cyclinders out there. If you are deciding between a Supra or GTR, I would take the GTR. AWD and Twin Turbo RB26 and can outrun most cars out there stock.

If its only a weekend car, why not look at something classic and not plastic!!?? old Torrie, statesman, fairlanes, etc.. even the ol' Valients are sweet and can be picked up relatively cheap..

Im currently looking at Ford Escorts and capri's(v6)..and the odd 13b rota...Woot!

what is your budget?! are you restricted on HP or license restrictions? is this to be a project car or a ready to drive!?

yea well i get my open license mid next year(im on green p's in brizzy)..... its going to be a weekend car an occasional cruze during the week i supose.... not really into the holden classics or ford unless f100's, monaro's an shit like that... dont get me wrong i love v8's but if i was to get a v8 it would be a chevy either a ute or chev chevelle 1970 model but ur talken big mulla!!.... i want somthin thats fairly cheap, packs a punch, enjoyable, kept clean, and be able to smoke mates if the oppurtunity arrises hehe... supras come in twin turbo though dont they, they just look a bit sporty then the gtr an there interior is awesome "like being in a fighter plane" lol... wat model do u guys rekon is the best??... alot people say these cars are plastic but i mean they have a good rep...like i mean they are made by toyota???

(i also have to take into consideration(insurance, long term maintenance etc) ive heard gtrs are alot of maintenance and insurance is higher? supras would be around the same or bit cheaper i supose????

cheers

All depends on your modifications. Standard cars or even lightly modified cars with regular maintenance will fire all day long. My r33 did and came back for more everytime.

Supras will cost more for parts but they have strong engines. Heavier then skylines and if just a cruizer good fun but not much good for drifting..

Could go on forever, but best to start off with a price and what you really want from car...

dude you can get American muscle pretty cheap.. like 20,000 with a 350 in it...

'70 chevelle's you are looking at like 35 grand though...

CLASSIC NOT PLASTIC as another bloke said....

its also a good investment.. If you buy now, it will just keep going up in price unlike skylines and supras..

unless you get a special edition or something..

have you had a look at the old toyota soarers there pretty sweet. twin turbo to my bro had one it didnt have much work done and that thing ripped along it was puttin out like 375hp at the rears. and they have pretty much a luxury interior so they are good to cruise in to nice an comfy but sporty too.

yea well im only looken at mild modifications i supose, exhaust, intercooler etc... if you get a single turbo how much would it cost to throw another in??.... yea prob wouldnt think about drifting it no point really....

cheers

Most people go with a large single turbo, less crap in the engine bay, less things to go wrong and when something goes wrong it is easier to work out where when only 1 turbo
