Lifan 140 Trans Probs.

I have a lifan 140 pitbike when i went riding last it was dropping out of second unless i got straight back on to full throttle after the change but it only does it in second, a friend suggested it maybe a selector fork but i dont know any ideas???

yeah could be something like that, is it only second doing it? How old engine?

I got the engine on december 25th 2008 so its not that old and yes only second

Sounds like something to do with gearbox ( this is the only part i dont like ) ha. I suggest a strip down and check components. Sounds something to do with a selector. If anything broken give me a shout, i have spares for a 140 lifan. postage might cost a bit but could practically give them away cheap, im sure it wouldnt be too much.

check your gear lever shaft isnt bent...or the gear drum hasnt come loose

I had a kinda similar thing happen now i think of it. 2nd gear on my 110 lifan wasnt engaging properly. Not sure if it was the cause but my gear shifter was slightly bent due to an idiot of a previous owner not being able enough to ride a bike.
