major issues with kick back!!!

ok pretty much you got your backing plate, which is bolted into the engine with two bolts (dont touch), then youve got your stator plate which is held onto the backing plate with another two bolts, then your flywheel is ontop of them.

basically ill put it simple cause i gotta get to bed. on the stator plate there is a mark and on the backing plate there is a mark, see how they are lined up in pic 2. we willl call this middle/neutral setting, now slightly undo the two bolts holding the stator plate into the backing plate(pic 1), now if you want to advance the timing (which you dont) you turn it clockwise, and if you want to retard the timing you need to turn it counter clockwise. alot of guys have it to far advanced with the combination of not kicking it properly, they munch up kickstart gears and crack cases

this isnt aimed at you: but lifan 150's have feelings and if you dont kick them properly, gears and cases wont last long at all

but after doing all this and you still have major kick back issues, make sure your carb is tuned properly (and that you have a decent carb), also make sure all your clearances are set properly as the fellas have said, and check for manifold leaks

Manifold leaks:
an easy way to check for this, is get your bike started and let it idol, get a can of start ya basterd or carby cleana, id prefer start ya basterd, and spray around your manifold while its idolin and around the manifold gasket etc, if at anytime the revs suddenly get higher it means you have a leak, keep sprayin till you find out where, you may just need new manifold gaskets if this occurs.
