Hi guys, decided to start building my 140 up
I originally brought the bike for $100 thinking it needed a few things, WRONG (the bike didnt start)
after spending $100 on parts i didnt need (thinking the engine was a Lifan)
but it was a YX found out it was a $15 valve,
got it going for 1 ride then came the problems,
1 its ready to blow up with ticking noises 2, it has a oil leak

heres what it looks like now, pretty bad pic but you get the point

Looking to get a zonger 140
pro tappers
new tires
new plastics and more

Thanks!

That ticking noise is most likely the valves, If its is laking compression it might be the valves and if its the valves, that ticking noise is the piston hitting the valves, which is bad :(

Use the search option to look for the right valve settings for your bike.

Could help notice that your back sticker kit plates are backwards. :)

Bike has potential, for $100 bucks thats pretty good. nice find:)

Yeah do your valves, make sure your exhaust is sealing properly and that you have a copper gasket in there, then spray something like a degreaser or something and spray it on the manifold and check for air leaks... And that's the first things I'd be doing then see how it goes

Yeah the noise is coming from the crank sounds like a bearings are gone

atleast it's a starting point.
goodluck with your build should polish up alright.

It's a klx style sticker kit but it's been cut because it has some unknown plastics I think here ktm style. Not sure

the noise coming from the crank will be the oil slinger, standard ones are a 2 piece item and they separate..
this can cause a lot of damage and actually kill an engine if not repaired straight away...

and nuts 4 50's...lol wrong again..

the bike has ktm plastics on it

But look at the front shroud, looks exactly like TTR

nope looks like ktm to me, same as the front guard

Oh my bad, its not the best photo and i could really tell the difference, The TTR has two slots on the front shroud, but you have to admit that its kinda hard to pick which is which. :)

Il look closer in the future. Haha
