Hey guys
Just put A new muffler on my rev mx - a slip on.
It's about 1/2 - 1mm fatter in inlet diameter than the pipe - so when i rev it slides back a touch.
What do people do to secure the muffler to the pipe? The bracket holding the muffler on needs to be tighter im guessing??

Cheers in advance
Cal

Better than silicone, is a drill, and 2 tek screws (self drilling self tapping screws), drill 2 holes in the pipe and muffler, drill in screws, done.

They are slip on for a reason. Screws are bodgy and wont seal it up either.

Yeah bodgy tek screws wont close up 1mm or even 1/2mm gap all the way round the pipe, Hope you dont do too many of these DIY mods to your bike Cloud?

Lots of big bikes use a proper muffler gasket sleeve where the header pipe meets the muffler pipe, Maybe you could find one the right size?

If both the pipe & muffler fitting are steel get someone to tack weld it on the bike to get it sitting in the right position then take it off & weld it all the way round, Not the best option but would work
