Hey guys after changing stators over using a normal pitbike flywheel puller it seems that the tip of the crank thread has mushroomed out and i cant get the nut to even almost get onto the threading. i was thinking maybe a tap and die or grinding a coupple mm off the shaft? What size threading is the crank shaft

I'm pretty sure it's an M10 x 1.25mm thread, same thread as your spark C7HSA plug
If it happen's you can normally just file a taper on the end of the thread's to reduce the diameter
Finish it off with a fine file
If you have a spare nut run that onto the thread first so you don't damage the original nut.
Super cheap would have a Champion pack of bolt's nut's too if you don't have any spare nut's
Or try master's in their bolt/nut assortment's

You could try a thread file. They're handy when the threads are mushroomed right over and a die nut wont start properly.

Yeah i think he fixed it,
i have a couple of Snap On Thread File's i use at home too, but not too many people have them
