By race 4 (last time i went) Styv was behind me WOOT!! and by that i mean he didn't lap me in that one race :p Also last time out at Native Dog I flogged him in the time trial (mind you, his bike blew up and he had to push it back) but hey, a wins a win :p

Hey, what oil temps do you get while you run long motos?

To me mate you where technically in front still and are a winner lol

robbie knee from tassie, his dad welded up a custom manifold cause all the stock stuff isnt good should see it :) and goes really well with 33mm carb to.

+1 brilliant set up, should have asked him what jetting he runs, totally forget, sorry Nick. But he did say he wants to change needle for some reason.

For now im gonna run my 28 PE cause i cant afford the outlay on another carb ....

Id love to run a pwk 33 i seen one in the flesh the other day at DHZ wow its massive !

Also they just received stock of the Daytona spec PWK 28's as well but either way there both the same price so if the 33 runs mint i might buy a 33 id love to know what jetting and needle robbie is running if you ever happen to fine out phil let us know mate i can get a custom mani made up no sweat

I'll ask him tomorrow if I can get a hold of him. Like I said ages ago, those 190's came stock with a 22mm, he tried the 28 and said the 33 is without doubt the best choice. The custom manifold was just an aluminuim tube welded to a flange, looked kinda factory cool.

Okay awesome id love to see it .... Thanks Phil much appreciated mate

Nick,

Robby said most people run the 28mm kehin, he runs the 33 with the reccomended jets in the Daytona manual. He was a bit coy about his manifold though, hahah. Seriously it's just an aluminim pipe welded to a home made flange that is bolted to the srtock manifold it comes with and runs a bit of silicon pipe, like the blue stuff on intercooled turbo cars, between manifold and carby.

Thanks for that Phil i know exactly what your talking about with the manifold i had to read the post a few times but i get it now ... basically an adaptor that bolts to the original manifold with a round flange then a bit of silicon joiner between the carb and round flange .... does that sound about right lol

I could get that made up no worries i have an aluminium specialist close by he makes catch cans , cooler piping , fuel cells and all the nice bits on most performance cars around here so ill get the 33 take the original manifold and carb over to him and get him to spin up a nice adaptor on his cnc machine that bolts onto it then find a 42mm silicon hose cut it to size with 2 hose clamps and bam she's done !!

i thought he meant to make a flange plate that bolts to the head, then weld a mandrel bent 90* tube (33mm inside diameter) onto that ?

Bingo, you are spot on Nick, sorry for making it confusing. Standard manifold with a trick aluminium adapter that bolts to the manifold then uses silicon pipe and 2 hose clamps, one on the pipe, the other on the carby. Looks cool too. I think you can also get that silicon stuff in red, matches your bike

Its okay mate thank-you for helping me out . I've sussed it all out and its defiantly on the cards ... I rebuilt and re-jetted the PE 28 today ill run it for a while maybe dunno yet .... and I'm gonna de burr port match the manifold a bit nicer its a bit rough a lot of dags casting imperfections there not very nice on the internal side . Ive got a dremel flap disc thats exactly the right size to get in there and smooth it out but keep it roughed up enough to stop the fuel from beading up on the walls

Im thinking this might do the trick :

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mikuni-C...fold-M-VM34-200K-/170891770715#ht_3265wt_1144

Bolt holes are slightly to wide at 60mm and my manifold is around 57.8mm but the bolt holes are 8.5mm and my bolts are around 5mm so even the slight offset should still line up okay .. suits a 30-34mm carb 40mm spigot size 25mm flange throat depth ... i brought one to try out it only cost me $28 so lets see ....

Thats almost exactly what the aluminium one he made looks like. Maybe you could bush the bolt holes to the correct size? Keep posting what you do Nick, I'm very interested. You won't be dissapointed with the 190.

No problem Phil I certainly will mate... The motor is finally in the bike now I've just got a few things to bolt up and it's finished

Niceeeeeeeeeeee. NPNT = no pic no talk, hahah

Pwk 33 is in the mail so ill see how she runs with it on im gonna wait and see if this rubber flange i brought works if not ill get a custom one made up anyway
