not running real good

Hi Guys, I have a PSTO250 that is not running real well at the moment and need some advice on where to start.
The bike starts and idles well, revs fine in short blasts but if you try to rev it quite hard for a longer period than just a blip on the throttle it starts to sort of breakdown in that it revs and dies then revs and dies and so on. I put a new plug in it thinking it might be dodgy but know difference.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, dont know where to start.

When your doing this is it while sitting still or while riding it?
Most bikes behave different when rididng them comared to revving on the spot.

is it running a standard cdi, or a performance cdi.

Bike is stationary on a race stand, never noticed it before but must admit I never really reved it like this before either.

I wouldnt worry too much about how it behaves on the stand. Im not sure if the 250 engine is known as a performance engine.
Try riding it and see how it behaves
