pit pro 140xr air filter help?

my pit pro 140xr has a 30mm mikuni carby with a foam air filter. would i be able to put a mesh air filter on it without changing anything else and it work the same as a foam air filter? Are mesh air filters better and do you have to clean them as much?

mesh filters are rubbish for dirt riding... they dont filter much and degrade quickly...

foam filters are the best and if you want to upgrade, go to a uni filter.

go a 38mm unifilter for the 26mm "30mm" mikuni. If you want one cheap I can send you one for $25

and the easiest way to get the Uni filter to fit (cos they are slightly smaller than the stock one)
rub some petrol on the black rubber and it should slide straight on, the just tighten the clamp

Hi, im new to the forum, just wonder if anyone knows if there is 42mm uni airfilter? ive been searching the net but could only find a 44mm, do you think i could just clamp the 44 on tight? any help would be great!! cheers
