Hey guys I know this isnt mini related so if this is in the wrong spot mod feel free to move
But last week I got a 2004 yz250f
Now the problem is when its cold my bike starts up with the choke first kick
then once its been running for a while and its warm with the hot start on it a bitch to start (sometimes I need to bump start it)
But once its started it runs perfectly
So what up with it?
Cheers guys

sounds like it needs a carby tune..

when properly tuned it shouldn't really need the hot start

probly wouldn't hurt to check the valve clearance too

yep iv seen plenty of the early bikes need it.. hence the reason i say carby tune..
my bike i never have to use unless it is screaming hot

I took out the spark plug and had a look and it was black and the air filter had WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to much oil on it, it was about five times what should be put on.
Would this cause the engine to be running rich?
Cheers
