i dont know about all of yous but i rechon this is pointless, the person with the most money that can afford a professional photographer is gonna win with the best photo. So whats the point????
Just my 2 cents

I don't think it's about the best camera... im taking photos to enter with and it's also putting my self in the most daring spot to take the photo and hope no one runs me down. Plus you have to be a good rider or have good riders to take photos of... so dunno how you can consider this pointless.

^^^^Agreed

You can have a $10 desposible camera and be in the right place at the right time and get a sweet photo.

i dont think my bike will be back together in time to take photos for this comp :(

luck everyone.

and no, it isnt a waste of time,

yeah i agree... not about the best camera, best photographer etc etc. bout the best shot...
some of THE BEST pics i have ever seen, were taken by a mate with a crappy 35mm happy snapper... ****s me to tears, but the camera is about 5% of the equation... :)

Hahaha, are you serious? So by your logic the video comp will be won by who ever can hire the best director, cameraman and video editors in the business? :p All I can say is that anyone who would hire a professional photographer to enter a competition to win a $100 voucher is a very sad and pathetic person. This is just some fun and gives everyone a chance to show off a bit of what they do on their bike.

We do have some professional photographers that are contributing members of this site and they are more than welcome to enter their professional, high quality photos that were taken with their expensive SLR cameras. That doesnt mean their going to win because its not about the quality of the photo or the experience of the photographer. We want to see riders of all levels, ages, shapes and sizes doin what they love and having fun on their bike regardless of whether they are racing or just putting around in a paddock.

This comp was set up so that anyone could enter and have a chance at winning. The FOTM comp has basically become a Jap vs China competition which is all about who can throw the most money at their bike so a lot of members are left out and cant participate. We wanted to get away from that and start something that everyone can participate in. So for this comp it doesnt matter what bike you ride or how deep your pockets are. You could even own a foxico and be in with a chance because after all its those type of members that would most benefit from the $100 DHZ voucher.

Oh well, I guess you cant please everyone.

^^^ do we have to specify whether the pic was taken with a Jap or China camera???? ;)

Powersliding...

Yeah their getting better as time goes on....we have the whoops shaped pretty good at the moment !

I think what rain we have had recently at the Quarry has created a few major 4WD ruts everywhere and makes it a bit of rough riding !!!

And yes y0 Ash Tray i think its for the best that "You" change your number lol :D
