Any thoughts onto what our next technology will be? Do you think we will be able to get batteries small enough and light enough to be able to travel both long distance and have the equivilant of a combustion engine, or do you think somthing like this will be our next step!? Certainly looks the goods on paper, images im off to bed.. research anyone!?

I am afraid the petroleum lobby keeps us hook on their engines for quite some time...but electrics is the future, no doubt

Electrics will be the future

yeh i went to the vintage motocross nationals, and they had a zero electric motorbike on show, it was half mountain bike half motorbike and could reach speeds of up to 70kms, pretty crazy.

on the video with jeff emig on it they lokked very slow, but then i realised it was a pitty track. Then the third vid made it seem much like a normal bike. I am intrigued. I wanna ride one and check it out. I heard somewhere that KTM was testing a electrick bike. But i think as time goes on the technology will get a lot better. I reckon it would feel weird, not hearing the bike ( too much), i think it would make it hard to tell when to shift some times. It would be bloody funny sneaking up on your mates on a combustion engine.

yer thats just not right no noise it just looks like a 4x race but no pedaling

KTM has made one it was in a dirt action mag
they said it was good for something like wheelies and stuff like that but i would not want to go in a puddle or over a big jump.
the zero bike is something like $1200-$1400 and only last 2 hours

Yeah KTM have put a fair bit of effort into the electric KTM and they should be on sale here within a few years.
