Well... I have had a couple of casual things over the years. It doesn't always have to get messy. The key is for everyone to know where they stand at all times.

It can be done. But from the sounds of things, you don't think she's capable of it emotionally, so you're answering your own question.

As for the dog... sounds like she wants it just to spite you. Get it off her if you want it. She obviously has no interest in it. Puppy shouldn't have to pay the price of your relationship breakdown. :(

The main thing in the back of my mind is UPGRADING at times like this ....be it a bike , board or a girlfriend ... as long as the odds are good for an upgrade you are better off makin the break I reckon .

It may seem like a good idea at the time, but it will turn serious again (in some way) and if you want some sort of friendship with the chick it will screw that up as well. Get's way to complicated no matter what you do. I was all cool about it till she hooked up with someone else (even though I had already done the same thing). It just did my head in for some reason. I had no right to feel like that but I did and it sucked.

Speaking from experience here. Hope I can save you half the bullshit I went through. Main thing is to not forget there are plenty of other women out there.
