What is the point of cows? Why do they exist? I'm very interested!

My dads buying beef cattle now but there only little ones and we can put them were we want.
Putting them in a really overgrown unrideable paddock. Little ones shouldn't wreck the place as much hopefully
Was doing ajistment or something where someone puts cows on your property.
The other ones almost ran over me Afew times haha
