why is my shift lever sticking

hey, so i have a 125cc pitbike and its fairly new but now this problem has been getting me pissed off.

whenever i want to shift from 1st-2nd or anytime i want to shift, i click up with my ankle but the shift lever doesnt want to budge to the next gear, it will only shift properly after really stressing my foot abnormally hard to get the lever to move.

what could be the problem, maybe i have to adjust the tightness or looseness of the clutch cable/lever?

Try moving the actual lever, it may just be the angle you have it on proving akward for you shift.

also check the gear lever shaft coming out of the engine isn't bent from a stack or being dropped
