Guys, some of you may know that I bought a 1996 DR350 last week. I got it cheap because it had gear selecting problems. I bought it really cheap and was willing to pay whatever it cost to fix it.(got it under a thousand and they sell for around $2500) But I pulled it apart last weekend,expecting...
its all works on hydraulic pressure. look it up...hard to explain. But there shouldn't be air in it. If there is, it would have to be a tiny wincy bit in the master cylinder. But there shouldn't be air in it :D
you won't get anywhere with a screw drive...coz the brake set up is a sealed unit...where is the pressure gonna go? you'll blow the seals or something if you try that.
