Ok, from what I understand you pull in the lever and the clutch will not engage. When you start the bike, and have it running, pull the clutch lever, and poke the gear lever, what happens then ? Does it want to pop into gear and stall or take off, or nothing at all ? More information pls

Question about downdrafts ? Even if the carb is mounted on the head, could you use a longer velocity stack, similar length to that of the stock manifold, for the bigger revving smaller bores ? To get that Higher velocity ?
