Hi everyone. i have an 06 ssr 125 and it is leaking gas thru the carb. took it apart and found out that the tip of the float needle is worn out and does not stop the gas from entering the carb bowl. My question is: is there a way to apply any type of rubber compound to add tip to this neddle? Or do i just need to buy a new one. Thanks in advance.

no they aren't repairable
you should be able to find a replacement cheap, what carby is it from ?

I am not sure which carb i have will check when i get home and post pics.

ok no probs.
can you remember if it has a round fuel bowl?
of it it has the mixture screw underneath at the front/underneath where it bolts up to the manifold ?

some of the china copy carbys are hard or expensive to find replacement parts for,
in that case you should be able to pick up a new complete carby for around $40, it could save you some issues with blocked jets etc too?
all depends on how old it is and what condition your's is in.

i think its a mikuni v22 it has the mixure screw under it.
